Wayne
Wayne brings extensive training through FEMA, Homeland Security, and the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program. He has years of real-world emergency response experience, including HAZMAT incidents and terrorism-related events. After 9/11, he was involved in the collection of suspected anthrax samples and worked as a project manager at a laboratory.
Beyond formal training, Wayne is an avid backpacker, which naturally shapes his practical, no-nonsense approach to prepping. He focuses on skills and gear that are realistic, reliable, and usable when it matters most. Wayne is also a licensed amateur radio operator (HAM), with a strong emphasis on emergency communication when traditional systems fail.
Belinda
Belinda draws from firsthand experience living in an earthquake prone region, where preparedness isn’t optional, it’s a way of life. That experience shaped her calm, practical approach to emergencies and long-term self-reliance.
She has a deep passion for gardening and homesteading, with a focus on growing food, preserving harvests, and making the most of what you have. Belinda is well read on topics ranging from emergency preparedness to long-term societal disruptions, and she translates that knowledge into realistic, approachable steps that anyone can use.
Her goal is to help everyday people become more self-sufficient without fear or being overwhelmed.

These are the must-haves that form the foundation of any prepping plan.
Water
- 1 gallon per person per day (minimum 3-day supply)
- Water filters or purification tablets
- Collapsible water containers or barrels
Food
- Shelf-stable canned goods(soups, beans, meats, vegetables)
- Dry goods (rice, oats, pasta,flour, sugar)
- High-calorie staples (peanut butter, powdered milk, protein bars)
- Manual can opener
Cooking
- Camp stove or rocket stove
- Propane, butane, or fuel tabs
- Cast iron pan or multi-purpose cookware
- Fire-starting tools (lighters, matches, ferro rod)
🩺 First Aid & Health
- Prepping isn't complete without the ability to treat injuries or illness.
- Fully stocked first aid kit
- OTC medications (pain relievers, allergy meds, anti-diarrhea)
- Prescription meds (minimum 30-day backup if possible)
